When I met with Hannah almost a year ago, I sat and drank coffee with her, and felt like I was chatting with an old friend. She went to my alma matter (shout out Lee University) and I loved every single ideal she had for her wedding flowers and decor. It was clear we had a lot in common.
I was so excited to find out that she had booked one of Howe Farms’ venues, the Apple Barn, for her wedding. We’ve worked at Howe Farms many times before. It’s one of our favorite Chattanooga-area venues. But we were itching to get our hands on this new venue they had just built at the farm.
I’ve been thinking about these rich fall burgundy flowers for months now. Making sure I ordered the exact right blooms to ensure that Hannah and Ty’s vision for their wedding day came together perfectly. My favorite choice of Hannah’s was her bridal bouquet with big funky burgundy Protea, and cascading red Hanging Amaranthus.
I have to admit, the day of the wedding, I was a bit disappointed about setting up in 90+ degree weather. I soooo wanted it to be a crisp, cool fall evening to compliment the burgundy, grey and blush colors for this September wedding. There was a little rain that came through to cool things down before the ceremony, which was nice. And regardless of the temperature, the bridal party and couple were perfectly upbeat, beautiful, and so much fun to be around. Just to give you a little inside view of how great Hannah and her family/friends were, as we arrived and started unloaded, the first thing Hannah said to me after giving me a big hug was “Is there anything I can do to help?” Her sister and mom did the same thing, followed by her father insisting on helping us bring some boxes in. I had to force the girls not to try to help. We have literally never had a bride offer to “help” on her wedding day. They are gems, for sure!
I’m so excited to share some photos of the wedding day. And I will probably be Facebook stalking this sweet couple to keep up with everything new happening in their lives. Hannah, Ty, and Family, it was so great getting to know you guys and working on your wedding. It was a beautiful day, for sure!!!
