Sometimes a rainy wedding day isn’t a bad thing. This misty shot with the mountains in the background is everything!!!

A Dusty Blue Wedding on a Rainy Spring Day

When you plan a wedding in April, you know the possibility of rain is high.  So this bride was in good spirits during the getting-ready phase, knowing that even if rain visited their big day, they weren’t going to let it bother them!  It was one of those misty days where light rain came and went ALL DAY.  Actually, if I remember correctly, it had been practically raining all week!  The coordinators watched the radar very closely, and the couple found small windows of time to take some outdoor pictures during their first look.  The tiniest bit of disappoint over the lack of beautiful weather was surely overshadowed once they received these MAGICAL photos from Bonnie McGhee Photography.  I mean, how perfect are these?  Photographers put forth a LOT of effort during and after a shoot to manufacture this kind of hazy ambiance.  But theirs was natural, and perfect and could be the cover of a magazine….not to mention this gorgeous couple, right?

The good news is that the rain gave a tiny window of time for the ceremony to take place at the coveted outdoor garden of The Venue Chattanooga. If you love this venue, check out this A Colorful + Vibrant Latin Wedding, and This Romantic Blush Wedding we recently did there.

One thing that also made this dusty blue wedding even more perfect was how the overall style came together seamlessly.  From the invitations, to the welcome sign, to the corn hole boards, to the custom tables numbers that we created to match the invitations perfectly…everything came together so flawlessly.  I especially loved the grey velvet tablecloths and the long grey plant-dyed real silk ribbon we used on the bridal bouquet.  Because of the weather, the wind blew this ribbon in such a whimsical way during photos and the ceremony.

This day was so special, from beginning to end.  Congrats Evan and Preston!
