I think it goes without saying that the bridal bouquet from Natalie and Clay’s wedding was a show stopper. Natalie was absolutely in love with peonies for her traditional-style bouquet. However, for her late August wedding, we knew they may be difficult to get as peonies are at the end of their season. As an alternative, we ordered these peach David Austin Juliet Garden Roses just in case, which are so stunning on their own. Along with some special peony-style roses and eucalyptus greenery, the overall look came together just as we had hoped. We were able to get our hands on just a select few white peonies to use very strategically throughout the bouquets. And at delivery, I asked the bride if she could tell which were the actual peonies and which where the alternates. Her answer: “No, I love them all!”
Here’s the thing. The current trend in bouquets right now includes a lot of wild greenery and a more loose and asymmetrical, non-perfect shape. We do that wild/boho style well, and I would even almost consider it our “signature style”. However, there’s also just something special and classic about a rounded bouquet chocked full of gorgeous blooms. Natalie chose this classic look for her bouquet, but brought in a more modern look with the bridesmaid’s bouquets, modern lantern centerpieces and eucalyptus greenery.
Since Natalie had nine bridesmaids, we chose some single-stem peony and eucalyptus bouquets so that theirs were simply elegant and allowed for Natalie’s to stand out.
To bring the look all together, we did some coordinating floral centerpieces and our modern Lanterns that all our clients absolutely love. Fresh loose eucalyptus greenery around the base of these gold lanterns, pared with our gold charger rentals made for a beautiful look across the room as guests entered the reception.
