Needless to say, we’ve worked at some GREAT wedding venues…and some not-so-great ones. We have taken note of some elements that are essential to a great wedding day for not only the couple, but also the bridal party and guests. A wedding is all about the experience, and we’re so excited to present to you 15 amazing venues that could become the place where your dream wedding comes to life!
So, What Makes Great Wedding Venues in TN?

Whether you’re looking for an offbeat venue for a unique intimate wedding, or a gorgeous rustic venue to accommodate a large outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, one thing remains true. A great wedding venue needs to provide a unique and seamless experience. So, here are the features that we believe make for a great Tennessee wedding venue:
- Space for both ceremony and reception
- An indoor or covered space in case of rain
- Most of the amenities that couples need at their wedding venue (ie. bridal suite, groom’s suite, kitchen, parking, etc)
- Charming, unique or even “offbeat” elements that would set a venue apart and would speak to a couple’s individuality.
So here we go. We’re going to start with #15, and count down to our #1 best wedding venue in TN!
TOP 15 Wedding Venues in TN

15. Noelle (Saidee Gallery), Nashville
My Nashville-based wedding planner friend Gabby Pinkerton, at ‘Cause We Can Events, recommended this place to us. Noelle is a sophisticated boutique-style hotel in the heart of downtown Nashville.
Whether you’re getting married with 20 guests or 120, the Saidee Gallery at Noelle is a must-see. Saidee Gallery offers brides the sophistication of a historic 1930 Art Deco space, complete with original crown moldings and exquisite marble encasements. Its arching windows maximize the natural daylight and night-time Nashville city views. If sophistication is your dream wedding feel, this should definitely be on your must-see lists of wedding venues in Nashville, TN!

14. Tennessee RiverPlace, Chattanooga
Tennessee RiverPlace has been a long-time favorite of mine. I share a little bit more about my wedding florist journey HERE, but in short, I started doing wedding flowers really as a hobby or side-hustle. The Tennessee RiverPlace was our first larger full scale wedding, and it was a breath of fresh air!
Fast forward to several years later, and we were featured in SOUTHERN BRIDE MAGAZINE for a wedding we did there! Now, we’re SO thankful for all the great venues in our state we have the privilege of working with. We have done lots of wedding at Tennessee RiverPlace (HERE’s one of my favorites!), and the #1 perk is its gorgeous river and mountain views!
This venue basically has 4 different “spaces”: (1) A ceremony spot with the gorgeous mountain backdrop and arbor, perfect for an amazing floral installation; (2) A Tent right off that space, which works great for a reception; (3) The Spanish-style building which in its lower level offers indoor space for your guests, and upstairs houses the bridal suite and groom’s suite; (4) The Patio, which is situated behind the building. This is also a hot spot for receptions because of it’s open-air feel and beautiful bistro lighting. There is also a breezeway between the ceremony spot and the back patio which works perfectly for cocktails. An earthy cottage-style wedding like THIS ONE would look AMAZING here!

13. Sandy Creek Farms, Springville
Sandy Creek Farms is a newer wedding venue and event center in Springville, TN, a couple hours west of Nashville in Henry County. It features 6 different event spaces, tons of lodging options, and even a private island!
If your dream wedding includes a destination location where all your family and friend can stay for the whole weekend, you’ve got to check out Sandy Creek Farms! This event center has tons of amenities and lots of different packages to choose from.
You can event take a Virtual Tour on their website to see a fly through of the entire property and detailed videos of its different spaces.

12. Whitestone Inn, Kingston
My photographer friend Nelya told me about this charming wedding venue and bed and breakfast in Kingston, Tennessee. Whitestone Inn is a 360-acre estate of rolling hills overlooking Watts Bar Lake with the mountains in the distance. The grounds are landscaped and inviting, the setting peaceful, and the buildings specially designed for beauty and function. If your idea of the perfect wedding includes a horse drawn carriage ride for you and your fiancé, and a peaceful chapel or gazebo ceremony, look not further.
If you’re in the Knoxville area and need a more expansive list of area venues, check out Nelya’s list here. She’s a true pro and I absolutely love her attention to detail in her photography work. Therefor, I trust her opinions about area venues so much.

11. Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, Nashville
Another recommendation by my Nashville friend Gabby, Cheekwood Estates & Gardens is the perfect setting for an intimate and elegant affair! In lieu of a vast ballroom, Cheekwood offers unique indoor and outdoor wedding venues, including a botanical gardens and Historic Mansion & Museum. If you are searching for intimate wedding venues in Nashville, TN, definitely check out Cheekwood and all the magical event spaces they have to offer!

10. Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains
Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains is a glamping retreat that lies upon 182-acres of lush, wooded terrain, just minutes from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Having your wedding at an eco-friendly glamping retreat like this one, or course, isn’t the most traditional solution. However, outdoorsy couples who are looking for something more unique can choose to rent the entire property for their wedding weekend. This provides an amazing festival-style wedding experience they and their guests will never forget!

Each year, lots of couples plan a destination experience like this at one of the Under Canvas locations. If you’re considering an offbeat destination wedding, we would HIGHLY recommend contacting ‘Cause We Can Events, who specialize in this type of wedding planning! Check out this Boho Wedding we did there together last fall, complete with a laid-back schedule of yoga and hiking the morning of the wedding, and this lush Pampas Grass Ceremony installation.

9. Avon Acres, Memphis
Hidden away in the heart of Memphis lies Avon Acres. Grand wooden gates open to this new event venue which features over 5800 square feet of rustic elegance. Gorgeous iron chandeliers adorn the lofted shiplap ceiling. Giant glass pass through doors open to a covered patio and sweeping lawn. This allows the inside space to be perfectly blended with the outdoors. Imagine a cocktail hour outside while your vendors flip the space to a gorgeous reception. The Bridal Cottage and Groom’s Cottage are also available to rent on the big day!
We absolutely love all the white walls and warm wood tones. In my experience as a wedding florist and designer, I can tell you that this offers the PERFECT modern pallet for almost any wedding style! Avon Acres’ simple elegance allows for unlimited design and dĂ©cor. This is why it’s #9 on our top 15 list of best wedding venues in TN!
P.S. A burgundy fall wedding like THIS ONE would look amazing here!

8. Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall
Imagine a wedding at a local downtown distillery. Does this sound like a dream? Then you’ve got to tour Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall! This truly unique venue offers a spectacular event space, conveniently located right on the Chattanooga riverfront.
This rustic yet urban event hall is adjacent to the Chattanooga Whiskey Riverfront Distillery, providing opportunities for unique experiences that include distillery tours and bourbon tastings. A unique Chattanooga experience is the reason Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall made #8 on our top 15 list of best wedding venues in TN!

7. The Cordelle, Nashville
The Cordelle is an intimate urban event venue in Downtown Nashville. The historic Victorian, the Great Hall, the Furnished Loft, the Garden and Catering Kitchen work seamlessly together to fill your event needs in style.
By now, you might have noticed that we love a blank canvas in a wedding venue. These white walls and dreamy wooden accents are just perfect! We love the slight industrial/urban flair that so many couples are looking for in wedding venues in TN.

6. Hiwassee River Wedding Venue, Delano
If getting married in the forest right on the river is your idea of magical, you’ve got to check out Hiwassee River Wedding Venue! Its riverside ceremony spot allows for you to soak up all that nature has to offer in the Hiwassee region. But don’t be fooled, the reception space is lovely too! This rugged but modern reception hall was designed with great attention to detail and craftsmanship. It has a capacity of 150 guests, perfect for most weddings. We’re looking forward to a great May wedding we just booked here. The bride has literally chosen all the floral features and installations that I would have, if it were me getting married here next Spring!

5. Ramble Creek, Athens
Ramble Creek is an elegant countryside wedding venue with an abundance of light and charm. My photographer friend Nelya suggested this one as well saying “The bridal suite has natural lighting that produces lovely getting ready photos.”
She says “The landscaped grounds are very private with lots of outdoor space and plenty of photo options. I love this, because I have a personal challenge to photograph every wedding with a fresh take no matter how many times I work at the same venue.”
(Seriously y’all, Nelya is a true PRO!)

4. The Venue Chattanooga
One of the things I love about The Venue Chattanooga is that it’s a blank canvas. The “style” isn’t overpowering, so you really have the freedom to do just about anything here. We’ve done a ton of weddings at this venue, from A Colorful + Vibrant Latin Wedding, to a more A Sophisticated Smoke Grey Wedding. This venue has a GREAT separate bridal suite building, which leads straight out to The Gardens, where the ceremony usually takes place. After your gorgeous garden ceremony, your guests can head straight down to the reception space, which features beautiful bistro lighting, tons of natural light, and a balcony that can be used to accommodate a whopping 300 guests overall!

2. 14Tenn, Nashville
My wedding planner friend Gabby Pinkerton, at ‘Cause We Can Events, recommended this place to us, and I just LOVE how bright, white and modern it is. This venue truly is a clean slate, ready for any current wedding style. Gabby says in her venue walkthrough blog post, “When you first walk through the doors to the building your eyes will immediately want to look up at the tall ceilings, bright skylights and beautiful chandelier.”
As a florist, I can just see a smilax greenery installation hanging from those white beams, to even further draw your eye up. A hunter green wedding style like THIS ONE would look amazing here! And although we’re located in Chattanooga, about two hours away from Nashville, I’ve let Gabby know that she MUST consider using us for her next wedding there. I would totally travel for a great wedding at 14Tenn!

1. Howe Farms, Georgetown
(Our #1 Wedding Venues in TN)
Howe Farms earned our spot for the #1 wedding venue in TN for so many reasons. This gorgeous property is located about 30 minutes from Chattanooga on 130 acres of breathtaking beauty, and boasts of 6 separate venues (yeah, you heard me right…SIX!) But don’t let the word “Farm” fool you! The five venues at Howe Farms fit nearly any wedding style. The first two venues built at gorgeous Howe Farms, the Vineyard and the Apple Barn are luxurious barn venues that offer all the amenities you would want for your wedding day. One of our most popular bouquet photos came from this Gorgeous Burgundy Fall Wedding we did at The Apple Barn. Here’s another Apple Barn wedding we did there with a sophisticated mauve color pallet.

However, if the Barn/Farm style wedding isn’t your thing, you’re sure to love one of the other three spaces. The Highlands Chapel is the gorgeous white chapel which can accommodate up to 150 guests . If your style is more modern and industrial, The Loft and The Pavilion are warehouse venues that you should definitely check out! And finally, The Woodland is my favorite, with its modern Italian villa style.
Huge plus, four of the six venues here at Howe Farms are fairly new. I love the thought of having a wedding somewhere your guests have never been before.  It’s no wonder Howe Farms won The Best of the Best award in 2022, and landed out #1 spot for the BEST WEDDING VENUE IN TENNESSEE!!!
