Megan and Elijah’s Blush Boho wedding took place in February at the Hiawassee River Weddings and Events, a beautiful Indoor/Outdoor venue in Delano, Tennessee.

When Megan reached out to us about doing her wedding flowers, she said she was looking for a boho style, but definitely wanted to incorporate some feminine color into her wedding. So we decided on some blush, mauve, and plum blooms as a way to soften the look and tie in the Bridesmaid’s dresses and other details.

Blush Boho Wedding Flowers and Details

Megan LOVED the King protea, which is a giant funky-looking bloom that comes in Blush, White and Burnt Red. So, we used the blush option in her bouquet and the Hexagon Arch installation. And then we pair that more harsh and pointy flower with some softer blooms and neutrals like Quicksand Roses, Mums, Pampas Grass and Bunny Tail. Megan and Elijah were getting married in February, so I knew I could also take advantage of some seasonal flowers like hellebores for that perfect hint of mauve/plum.

This venue offers two outdoor spaces for a ceremony. One faces right out onto the Hiawassee River. The other is a little patio spot nestled into the woods a bit, just off of the Reception building. Megan and Elijah chose the spot in the woods to fit with their boho/natural style. And really, you don’t choose Hiawassee River Weddings and Events if you don’t love the enchanting feeling that trees and nature surrounding you has to offer.

The Blush Boho Ceremony Set-up

The Venue includes this beautiful and modern Hexagon Arch. So, McCaull (my #1 floral designer) and I got to do a luscious floral installation, packed full of pampas grass, eucalyptus, and King Protea! We also did Pampas Grass aisle markers in our Glass Jug rentals, which were later repurposed as centerpieces. The way that blonde pampas grass flowed in the wind on either side of the aisle and in the arch made me so happy.

The Pups!

Oh, and I can’t forget to mention Megan and Elijah’s puppies, two gorgeous chocolate labs! We had the privilege of making floral collars for them, so they could pop in for just a quick photo session with Mom and Dad.

For a February wedding, the weather was lovely (just a tiny bit cool, which is really what you want, right?). The bride, bridal party and vendors worked together so seamlessly. And, I truly love how this floral combination came together in Megan and Elijah’s Boho Blush Wedding.
