Delani & Haynes’ enjoyed their white wedding at a modern event venue in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. The bride chose white flowers, plenty of fresh-looking greenery, and lots of black accents to add tons of elegancy to their January nuptuals.

Delani & Haynes’ White Wedding
While planning the flowers with Delani, she shared with me that she loved a floral installation we had designed at a styled shoot a few months prior at their venue, Gilman Event Hall. We went a little more full for Delani & Hayne’s wedding, letting the Smilax greenery flow and be very organic looking, with just pops of white in the flowers. Then, we went a little more lush on the grounded aisle markers so they were more full of white flowers.
Delani’s wedding planners, Wildflower Wedding Planning suggested that we repurpose the six aisle markers in front of the head table at the reception. We love repurposing any ceremony flowers we can. And even better when they’re aisle markers like this that are SO easy to just pick up and move anywhere. We’ve even repurposed aisle markers like this directly onto tables as centerpieces, and on top of floral stands for an elevated centerpiece. The possibilities are endless!

White Wedding Reception
Delani loved the idea of very simple, but lush, loose greenery and candles on the tables at the reception. There were so many elegant details of their big day, from the bridesmaid’s black floor-length gowns, to the gold candlesticks everywhere, to the roaring fire in the fireplace after the ceremony, that a simple greenery/candlesticks centerpiece was perfect!
I especially loved how Delani’s sister and maid of honor wore a sequins black gown to allow her to stand out. Delani chose simple white rose bridesmaids bouquets for her girls. With a larger bridal party, you can definitely get away with more petite bouquets. These were also repurposed at the head table during the reception.
We loved how everything came together on the big day. Since we needed to stick around until after the ceremony to help with the flip, we noticed the guests definitely leaned into the winter elegant vibe! I saw a lot of stunning evening gowns, sequins, velvet, even fur! The live band, Not Your Average Party Band, also added so much to the overall reception vibe. We truly enjoyed working our floral magic for this stunning January white wedding!
