Sarah & Westley’s black and white wedding at a modern venue in Georgetown, Tennessee was classic and stunning.

When Sarah reached out to us about her wedding flowers, she shared her Pinterest board full of all kinds of baby’s breath floral installations and all-white delicate floral arrangements. When we met, we discussed ideas on how to get this classic black and white wedding feel within her budget.

Black and White Wedding Flowers
Originally, Sarah wanted two full baby’s breath columns for the ceremony. But after crunching the numbers and finding out that this would push her quite a bit over budget, I suggested one tall column and then a shorter cluster on the floor. Sarah agreed this was a great compromise to the original inspiration. We repurposed the column and clusters from the ceremony space in the reception, which made this and even more budget-friendly option. Since they were free standing and lightweight, these were so easy to move!
Sarah chose oversized baby’s breath bouquets for her bridesmaids. She knew she wanted them to be “not too perfect or rounded”. We loved letting these baby’s breath bouquets become organic in shape and making each one a little unique. For her bouquet, a stunning and classic cascade of baby breath. White roses, and the show stoppers: gorgeous white orchids! I wish you could see how this bouquet moved while Sarah walked. The orchids bounced and danced with every step and were just lovely to watch.
Sarah chose modern white floral centerpieces that were light and airy to coordinate with the baby’s breath, but with a little more variety. We loved seeing how all the delicate white flowers came together with the black accents and classic details. The venue, The Woodlands at Howe Farms, also has tons of black architectural elements that tied in perfectly to this classy black and white wedding. Sarah and Wesley’s refined elegance showed through the style of their big day, and we loved getting to be a little part of their journey.
